I almost skipped this egg drawer based of the negative reviews. So glad I ordered anyway. This item was delivered tonight and I installed it in less than 30 seconds. Complaints on no directions? It is pretty obvious - if you can open a milk jug you can figure this out. The unit hangs about 3/4 of an inch from the shelf so in the photo it contains 18 eggs but could hold more due to the drop -- not sure how many more but it is spacious for eggs in any size family. Some reviews complained about the unit being flimsy. Well, it is made of plastic. My $3,800 frig is also mostly plastic on the inside (bins, drawers, deli tray). I see no substantive difference in quality. If you live with a big gorilla type (and I do), you may need a 15 second training on use. The unit does have a stop and tilt feature. However, it is a gentle stop and tilt -- not designed for people who cannot be trusted with anything breakable like, ummm, eggs.This seems to solve the problem. My Frigidaire refrigerator is inferior to the one I bought 20 years ago. No glass shelves and no deli drawer. I just needed a small drawer. Because this likely fits below an open rack and not glass, customers may not realize the drawer will be open at the top so certain items need to be covered. I got custom cut plexiglas from Professional Plastics to cover my refrigerator racks. So simple if Frigidaire kept to their standard instead of cutting corners. I can't speak to sturdiness or durability yet. This is not for a bunch of heavy items.It works! saves a lot of room in the fridge. Easy to install and for durability, I don't know yet but it looks fine. The only issue is that the tray doesn't have the shape of the eggs, it has three rows so the eggs are kind of loose and if you're not careful the eggs will crash each other.I love these refrigerator drawers. I purchased an LG refrigerator that has no deli drawer. These drawers were easy to install. I labeled them and they are perfect for holding my lunch meats and cheeses. Can barely fit things in there. But it works for people with not enough drawer space.Hopefully I purchased this as a used or open box product as it came wrapped in plastic without instructions. Fits perfectly in the fridge. Very easy to install. Realized belatedly, after looking through product photos, that it is missing a tightening screw on one side. For that fact alone I give it 4 stars.Very easy to use. Easy to add fresher eggs in back of older. Easy to install and clean.Being able to pull drawer out to “drop” down to get your eggs is great.
