Contains Odors very well. I have had it one day. I have doggie pee pads and kitchen organic waste like raw fish in it. It does work. I have an efficiency apartment and I sleep in the same area where I cook. I had to take garbage out twice a day. I do not have a gabage disposal. This is the best remedy I have found to contain smells. They should provide an extra rubber gasket. The gasket may crack and wear out. At least provide a source for replacement of the gasket for future needs. This is being described as a Diaper Pail but it actually is a very high quality trash container. Most reviews indicate it is being used for many different garbage problems that cause stink. We are all recycling too, so the size of this is ideal for organic waste, and diapers, peed pads from pets. etc. and fish cleaning. Fish is the worst odor causing thing I can think of. We have "fish houses" up here in the Northwoods- just for cleaning fish after coming back from sport fishing. That is how bad fish stinks. The fish house operation has a freezer to put the guts in after you are done. I notice when this is in the locked position there is a gap and the bad smell leaks out. That could be a product flaw or a bad gasket seal.
