EDIT: I have to revise my earlier review. This item is dangerous! While cooking a soup on a medium heat, one of the legs melted and gave way. The vibrating top spilled into the soup, the silicone battery cover came off and exposed the batteries and internals to the soup. This is dangerous, and obviously not food-grade plastic!! If it can't stand up to medium-heat soup it doesn't deserve to be in a kitchen. Do NOT PURCHASE!I've bought 2 of these devices now, from different sellers although they look identical. The first worked very well, and was a gift. This purchase did not work well, it seemed there was a loose connection or short in the wiring. It would stop and start, before finally just refusing to turn on. Disappointed. Maybe buy this from a different manufacturer. As a concept, it works well for light soups, bounces around a flat pot or pan in a circular motion, just enough to keep things from burning.
