I did not want colors or animals or other decoration on my egg cups since it would not match the rest of the china we use. These are a nice basic item, sturdy, good design and attractive. They are well balanced and stand without problems. They are a little hard to balance in the dishwasher rack but anything this small size would be. My only complaint -- and it is a small one -- is that the seller is a couple days slower to ship than most sellers on Amazon. The items were still here within 10 days and they have to come from Canada which takes longer.I got these for my mom, she loves them. they are well made and look nice. Plain design fits any decor, no tacky stuff. they fits any egg and not sure if this was the design intention, but for extra large eggs you can turn them upside down and use that side too. good value.I have been looking for a cup like this since I gave away mine in one of my crazy movings. I could not find it in Any store so I decided to give it a try online and as usual got the best deal at Amazon.com. Price was right and the cups are fine - perhaps a bit smaller but still able to hold a soft egg.If you like to put a hard boiled egg into a thing, hit the egg there with a spoon, and then eat the internal contents, then a relationship between you these little cups should work out just fine. Five stars. Be warned...I had been looking for this item for my husband and couldn't find it anywhere, so once I saw this, perfect! I ordered and when I presented it to him, of course he was pleased, but then says I should have bought two! Will order another in the future!We like the "chop off the top" soft boiled egg. These cup has worked great for that and its been working for years. Yea finally reviewing after getting life out of the way! Had to find these in local stores.My English husband and I are very pleased with the egg cups we looked high and low and found a great deal on Amazon.com...and the company we ordered from are in our Summer Home's back yard...I will shop there again and again.Needed a little egg cup for my FIL and this one works great. Egg fits right in there, and its deep enough that there's no falling over and out of the cup.
